See your free Service messages and what your balance can send
The dashboard shows how many of Meta's 1,000 free Service messages each number has left this month, and how many messages your wallet balance can send.
Since 1 October 2026, Meta gives each business number 1,000 free Service messages a calendar month. A Service message is a reply inside the 24-hour window after the customer writes. Past the 1,000, replies are paid. Meta's API does not report the running count, so without help you found out from your bill.
On the dashboard
- Free Service messages — for each number: free messages used and left this month, and any paid replies past the allowance. A reply inside the allowance needs no wallet credit.
- What your balance can send — how many messages of each kind your wallet balance can pay for, at today's rates.
The counts are our own estimate from the delivery reports we receive, so the card says "about" and "may be billed".
A warning before a bot spends it
A human replies at human speed. A chatbot or the AI agent can use 1,000 replies in a few days. Where you switch automatic replies on, a warning now names any number that has used 80% of its free messages.
Reconnect with Facebook
Each WhatsApp account now has a Reconnect with Facebook button, also when your plan has no free number slots. If Meta can no longer reach an account for us, its card says so and offers the same button.
