Account Deletion Instructions
We respect your right to control your personal data. Follow these instructions to delete your Lynkist account and associated data.
Overview
When you delete your Lynkist account, all your personal data, WhatsApp business configurations, message templates, contact lists, and conversation history will be permanently removed from our systems.
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have exported any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
Data That Will Be Deleted
The following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account profile and login credentials
- Business profile information
- WhatsApp Business API configurations
- Message templates and automation workflows
- Contact lists and customer data
- Conversation history and chat logs
- Analytics and usage data
- Payment and billing information
- All uploaded files and media
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from Your Account Settings
- Log in to your Lynkist account at lynkist.io
- Navigate to Settings from the main menu
- Go to Account Settings tab
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
- Click on "Delete Account" button
- Read the warning message carefully
- Enter your password to confirm
- Click "Permanently Delete My Account"
Option 2: Request Deletion via WhatsApp
- Send a message to our WhatsApp support: +91-9405300033
- Type: "I want to delete my account"
- Provide your registered email address for verification
- Our support team will verify your identity and process the deletion request
- You will receive a confirmation once the deletion is complete
Option 3: Request Deletion via Email
- Send an email to: support@lynkist.io
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the following information:
- Your full name
- Registered email address
- Registered phone number
- Reason for deletion (optional)
- We will verify your identity and process your request within 5-7 business days
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Data Retention Period
After you request account deletion:
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated immediately and you will no longer be able to log in
- 30 days: Your data will be retained in our systems for 30 days in case you change your mind
- After 30 days: All your data will be permanently deleted from our servers and backups
- Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes)
Reactivation Policy
If you change your mind within 30 days of requesting deletion, you can contact our support team to reactivate your account. After 30 days, reactivation is not possible and you will need to create a new account.
Before You Delete
We recommend taking these steps before deleting your account:
- Export your data: Download your contact lists, conversation history, and analytics reports
- Cancel subscriptions: Ensure all active subscriptions are cancelled to avoid future charges
- Download invoices: Save copies of your billing history and invoices
- Backup templates: Save copies of your message templates and automation workflows
- Notify customers: Inform your customers about the change if you're switching platforms
WhatsApp Business Account
Important Note: Deleting your Lynkist account does not automatically delete your WhatsApp Business account or phone number registration. These are managed separately through Meta/WhatsApp.
If you wish to delete your WhatsApp Business account as well, you must:
- Contact WhatsApp Business Support directly
- Follow Meta's account deletion procedures
- Deregister your business phone number

⚠️ Final Reminder
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible after 30 days. Please ensure you have exported all necessary data and cancelled any active subscriptions before proceeding with account deletion.
