Delete your account, a team member, or a WhatsApp number yourself
Closing an account no longer means emailing support — with a 30-day grace period and a one-click reactivate if you change your mind.
Leaving should be as self-service as joining. You can now end things yourself, at three different levels, from Settings → Account → Danger Zone.
Three levels
- Close the whole account. Your subscription is cancelled at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep what you paid for — and your data is scheduled for permanent deletion.
- Remove a team member. Their access ends immediately. The last remaining admin can't be removed, so an account can't be left with nobody in charge.
- Remove a WhatsApp number. The number is released at the end of the billing cycle, so you're not paying for something you've stopped using.
You have 30 days to change your mind
Closing an account doesn't delete anything straight away. There's a 30-day grace period, during which a single Reactivate brings everything back exactly as it was — contacts, conversations, templates, campaigns.
After 30 days, deletion is permanent and irreversible. Contacts, conversations, templates, campaigns and media are all destroyed, and no one at Lynkist can restore them. Export anything you want to keep before the grace period runs out.
The account deletion page explains all three flows in full, including what is deleted, what is retained for legal and tax reasons, and how long each step takes.
